Dosages:

External Use: As a compress to soothe inflammation of skin, insect bites and burning of sores.

Application: Cover area with fat-based cream, apply gauze or cotton saturated with bitters. Cover with plastic and secure with bandage.

Internal Use: Recommended for relief of bloatedness, flatulence, sluggish bowels and constipation.  Stimulate stomach and intestinal secretions, ease that "full" feeling.

Average: 1 tsp diluted with water AM and PM

Individual reactions differ greatly, so the amount must be adapted to personal requirements

Therapeutic: 3-4 tsps daily in a cup of water or herb tea.

May be added to pre-boiled water for a more pleasant flavor.
